Italy to face England in UEFA Nations League.

With the UEFA Nations League draw having taken place this afternoon, European Champions Italy now know their fixtures for the 2022 tournament.

Italy - who overcame England on penalties in the Euro 2020 final last summer - will be joined in League A Group 3 with England, Hungary and Germany.

Roberto Mancini’s side will open their campaign away to Germany on 4 June, before hosting Hungary three days later. They will then travel to England on 11 June, before concluding their Group 3 matches at home to Gareth Southgate’s side on 14 June.

Italy face tough test in UEFA Nations League

Italy will face a tough test in the UEFA Nations League as they have been drawn in a group with England, Hungary and Germany. The Italians will be looking to win the competition for the first time, having finished third in the inaugural tournament in 2019.

Italy will be confident of qualifying for the Nations League Finals, which will be held in June 2023. The winners of each group in Leagues A, B and C will qualify for the Finals, along with the best-placed runners-up.
