Indiana Football Receiver Donaven McCulley out Against Western Illinois

McCulley Injured in Practice

Indiana Football will be without receiver Donaven McCulley when they take on Western Illinois on Saturday. McCulley suffered an injury in practice this week and will not be able to play in the game.

This is a big loss for the Hoosiers, as McCulley is one of their top playmakers. He has 15 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns this season.

With McCulley out, Indiana will need other receivers to step up. Whop Philyor is expected to start in McCulley's place. Philyor has 10 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown this season.

Other Injuries

McCulley is not the only Indiana player who is injured. Running back Stevie Scott is also out with an injury. Scott is the Hoosiers' leading rusher this season with 450 yards and five touchdowns.

With Scott out, Indiana will likely turn to Sampson James and David Ellis to carry the load at running back. James has 250 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Ellis has 150 yards and two touchdowns.

Outlook

Despite the injuries, Indiana is still a heavy favorite against Western Illinois. The Hoosiers are ranked No. 17 in the AP Poll, while Western Illinois is an FCS team.

Indiana will be looking to improve to 4-0 on the season with a win over Western Illinois. The Hoosiers will then have a bye week before they open Big Ten play against Michigan State on October 2.
